In what can only be described as robotic courtship, two modular legged-wheel robots from DirectDriveTech were spotted combining into a single unit at IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems 2025 (IROS 2025) . While the display of mechanical intimacy is impressive, the fact that it’s currently operated by two separate humans suggests this robotic relationship still needs a bit of couples counseling.
